2018, A Year for Our Books

At the Book Exchange, we do way more than sell books!

We’ve been busy these past few months, which is a great way to begin a new year. If you haven’t been keeping up with all the events we’ve had going on, well, we’re here to tell you just how much you’ve missed.

1. We raised over $1,200 during our January Charity Sale for the Differences Foundation! This organization is near and dear to our hearts not only because they serve over 5,000 at risk kids, K-12, in the Hampton Roads area, but also because they are doing everything in their power to promote the importance of literacy and education in life. We’re very proud to help them make a difference every single day!

 2. Book Exchange Virginia Beach hosted their first Story Time! We had so much fun reading “Happy Valentine’s Day, Mouse!”, We had to follow up with a second book for the kiddos! If you’re interested in stopping in for the next reading, follow our events to see when we have our next one scheduled!

3. Book Exchange Norfolk hosted local author, Sandra Bradley, for a book signing! Her book, “Love Letters to God” is a women’s daily devotional with coloring pages (how cool is that?!) AND an “open communication between the reader and the Lord”. For more information, or if you’re interested in purchasing a copy, you can find that here.

4. Book Exchange Virginia Beach hosted Pink Elephants & Lemonade for a pop-up shop in store! They brought some lovely buntings and banners for purchase, and brightened up the store on such a chilly winter day!  They even made us a very cute bunting that now decorates our checkout counter! Check them out for all your custom bunting and banner needs! If you’re a local crafter and are interested in hosting a pop-up too, contact us!

We’ve got plenty more upcoming events heading your way! Follow us on Facebook to keep up with everything we have going on!

Don’t forget, we take trades of books, movies, and music so if you’re looking to get a head start on your Spring Cleaning, keep us in mind!
