The Book Exchange is a locally owned and operated, kid friendly, community centered book, movie, and music store. We’re located right in the heart of Wards Corner and have been in the same location (aside from expanding the whole right side of our store) for over 14 years. We’re not like any used book store you’ve seen before! We’ve got well organized inventory, friendly atmosphere, and we hope to become your new favorite book store! We have won the Pilot’s “Best of” contest for the last 10 years running and are lucky to be involved with the wonderful Hampton Roads community.
In 2017, we opened our second location, The Book Exchange of Virginia Beach, to continue to spread our love for the community and our love of reading! We consider it a blessing to be a part of this wonderful community and hope you love shopping here as much as we love working here.
The Book Exchange has raised over $50,000 for local charities over the past 13 years through our monthly charity book sales, and we hope to continue to work with our Virginia Beach community to grow that number!
